Allowing for Inconsistencies
I created a system of wire grids —neither perfect nor straight— that explores the concept of deliberately allowing for inconsistencies in the design process. This process is meant to challenge the idea of perfection. The system is a representation of the philosophical aspects of design and the designer’s relationship to their creation. The outcome is the organic result derived from the process itself rather than the designer.
This project is an accumulation of work for the 2020 B.F.A. Capstone Design Exhibition at The University of Texas at Austin.
